We Made it to Colorado!!!!!

After several days in Delaware and 30ish hours in the truck with three people and three dogs, we arrived at our new home. Lucky for us the third person happened to be our photographer from our wedding, as well as my brother-in-law, so now that the pics have been posted on facebook I can steal them for this blog :)

We love our new apartment! It feels about 1000000000x's bigger than our old one. It is located only 10 minutes from my work (finally at a Super Target!) and 15ish minutes from downtown Denver.

Michael wanted to see the Rocky Mountains, so on Sunday that's where we went. They were amazing! Also, cold.....very, very cold. Driving from the foothills to the top of Trail Ridge Rd. the temperature dropped 20 degrees. (Being the smart person that I am, I wore shorts)

We drove through estes park and also stopped in Grand Lake, CO for dinner. Where we saw the moose patrol.

Even though he hurt his knee, Chris REALLY wanted to play golf. (just look at that form! I bet you can't find the ball)

Today, we visited Cherry Creek North shopping center, where I found some free stuff on what to do in Colorado. I have several of our next adventures planned out, just as soon as we get some money saved up.
The highlights of the first 4 days here were of course seeing the Rockies, going to the mall (it was soooo big, and fancy) which including walking through Tiffany & Co. and Burberry for my first time ever, finding a park near the apartment with paddleboats (they weren't open for renting yet), and going to a Dave and Buster's for the first time. Next on the to-do list is finding the botanical gardens, visiting the zoo, aquarium and nature preservation, and finding Chris a job! Also, one day in the not so distant future we plan to go ziplining and indoor skydiving.

Need Some Money? Try Waving

Went out to breakfast this morning, and Maddie was waving up a storm, per the usual. An older gentleman sat in the booth across from us and gave her his full attention. She smiled, waved frantically and kept saying "Hi!"
As the man got up to leave, he leaned over and asked, "Little girl, do you have a piggy bank?" He handed her a dollar and said, "Put this in your piggy bank."
What a sweet encounter :-)

Lets write a book!

Hello ladies!
As you may have noticed on Facebook, I'm working on a collection of stories from a woman's perspective about her challenging teen years. If this is new information, please go read my status, I'll hang tight for a minute. https://www.facebook.com/bailey.anne2

I'd love your support on this. Here are some insider details:

"I’m publishing a book. It will include insight from a number of women as they gaze back at their difficulties as a teenager and how they overcame it all. Your identity as a contributor can be as public or private as you’d like. Some women need to share under an alias, and that is fine. Know that I’ll honor our friendship by keeping it confidential. Also, I’m flexible with the deadline. Take enough time to write your story the way you want it to be read. It’s important that it’s truthful and authentic. I’ll keep you updated with deadlines, but they haven’t even been established yet, so no pressure.
I really appreciate your efforts in inspiring moms as they walk their daughters through this difficult process of becoming young adults. I’ll let you know when the book goes to print. Also, in exchange for your story, I’ll be offering you a free copy, hot off the press! Thanks for making this a reality!"

That's the message that any inquiring minds would receive. In addition to impacting the world and changing lives... publishing this piece will help me become more marketable as a speaker, 'cause my competition, they got books. So... who's in? Facebook me!

OK, so here's the deal.  I am thinking about getting a tattoo, but I am not sure what I want.  It will be small, and not religious.  It should not be trendy and I have ruled out sports teams because they move, and if they move, I will go from loving them to hating them.  I am taking suggestions, and the one I am leaning toward right now, is the sign of the Deathly Hallows.  (see below) that is the one to beat
